Best way to start the new year?

You can still do this today - it's not too late

Happy New Year! I’ve got a feeling that 2024 is going to be wonderful at Idyllwild Woods.

Hubby and I spent a nice, quiet New Year’s at home. It was comfy, cozy, and restful.

But we also did a little exercise I learned from my coach Greg Johnson (he puts out a fantastic newsletter on email marketing, btw).

I thought you might really enjoy it, too.

Here’s what you do…

  1. Make a list of your WINS from the past 30 days. (It can be hard to remember much further back than that!) Everything that you accomplished, everything that went well, everything that made your heart happy.

  2. Make a list of your SETBACKS and DISAPPOINTMENTS from the past year. (Funny how they’re way easier to remember!)

  3. Pull a wonderful gift from each of those setbacks. No doubt, you’ve learned something. Maybe your troubled time revealed how wonderfully the people who love you supported you. Quite probably, the timing or location or some other detail of that setback also saved you from something way, way worse… something you may not have even seen coming.

Sure worked with us! 2023 was a year I’d rather never see a repeat of… but it was also full of gifts.

How about you?

Now, get outside today!

xoxo

Sue
