Ditch the ceiling for the cosmos!

Watch this tonight

Ever stood under a night sky so clear, so vast, it feels like you could fall right into it?

There's something raw and real about the night sky, a stark beauty that grips you. It's not just about the twinkling stars or the silvery moon; it's the sheer immensity of it all.

It's a reminder of how small we are and yet how connected we are to this vast universe.

Here’s what I’m picturing at Idyllwild Woods…

Imagine a clearing, away from the glare of city lights, where the Milky Way is a luminous river across the sky.

Sitting around a campfire, watching the show overhead.

The cool night air brushes against your skin. You feel the earth beneath your feet.

You look up. Really look.

And you notice shooting stars, constellations, primal wonders we forget to notice every night, now that we’re all civilized and stuff.

It's a connection that transcends time, a thread that binds us to the past and propels us into the future.

Sharing that together with you is one reason I’m thinking about holding a special founding family primitive camping retreat at Idyllwild Woods in late April, early May.

(More info here - be sure to vote one way or another, if you don’t mind! It’ll help me know whether I should entertain this idea during the cold winter ahead.)

Meanwhile… tonight’s supposed to be an asteroid show following last night’s full moon.

Here’s a handy interactive calendar that’ll give you the scoop on the night skies near you.

See you out there!
