Are Humans Like Sunflowers?
Following what lights you up
Have you ever watched a sunflower follow the sun across the sky?
It's a natural phenomenon known as phototropism – plants growing towards their light source.
This got me thinking… maybe we do the same.
Think about it.
Just like sunflowers yearn for the sun, we often find ourselves drawn to the things that light us up inside, be it passion, love, or inspiration.
There's a certain pull, an invisible force that guides us towards experiences, people, and places that make us feel alive, vibrant, and growing.
Maybe your ‘sun’ is a dream, a community, a hobby. Mine is Idyllwild Woods.
Whatever your ‘sun’ is, it nourishes your soul, gives you energy and purpose. It’s like your own personal source of light.
So, I invite you to reflect on what your 'sun' might be.
What are the things that make you turn your face upwards?
What fills you with warmth and vitality?
And how can you position yourself to soak up every ray of that light?
I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. What is your 'sun'? How do you find yourself growing towards it?
Warmly basking in the light,
Sue
